Montclair Film Festival

Movie piracy is hurting independent film festivals and it’s almost impossible to stop. So instead of trying to fight them, we invited them in with Pirate Pass, a fake streaming website designed to trick movie pirates into thinking they were watching our films for free.

We followed up with a TV and radio campaign that encouraged people to satisfy their curiosities within the safety of a film festival, instead of out in the streets where things could go awry.

To top it off, we did this all on a total production budget of $8k.
